So, today we went to the Princess İslands, or in portuguese, as ilhas Príncipe (não estou a traduzir mal, é mm assim!)! İ went there last week but İ caught a really late boat so when İ finally get to Buyukada, it was already night, so İ returned to the traffic city life! But last week, İ was really fortunate, 'cause İ had the chance to see one thing that İ never had seen out in the wild: dolphins!!! And İ saw about 10! So beautiful they are! This city really has everything!!! But today it was different, because we planned! We went at normal hours and we even decided to see Heybeliada, the other big island! Su took with her her guide so we could see all the interesting spots!
Heybeliada: cute place, if you are Stephen King and need inspiration!
Buyukada: bigger than Coimbra, has more hills than Coimbra and no traffic, which means that you do not have the smtuc drivers! you just have this...
...you could rent a donkey but we are two conscious girls who do not enjoy with animal exploration so we rent bikes even if we don't ride for years, but it is true that you never forget how to ride it!!!
The said thing is that in the guide the distances seem very close, but they are not, or they are turkish distances, 'cause the Monastery of St. George it is not at 40 or 50 minutes away! You ride, ride, ride and when you finally reach the top you are too tired to laugh of the hugeness of St. George! İt is beautiful, for sure, but it could be just a little bit bigger! : p Of course, you have this when you finally ride your way through and when, finally, you can stop, relax, take pictures and get a smoke!!!
They are very huge islands and just one hour away! Great! But the best of them is really when you go back to civilization and you try something really relaxing and new, and kinda traditional, even if you try it in a touristic place! İ'm talking of the place where you go to change your skin or just to see some naked girls...these are the bad aspects of the....TURKİSH BATH!!! But after riding all day, really there's nothing better!!! Well, next weekend some more adventures, for sure!!!
Jinhus to all!!!
